Where did this idea come from?
These books actually started as a short story, but took on a life of its own and has grown into three books, of which Prison Earth - Not Guilty as Charged is the first, and Prison Earth - A Loss of Face is the second. The basic premise of the book goes back a long way, to when I was thirteen, and had a shockingly realistic nightmare about being abducted by aliens. That planted the seed, and explains why the book starts with a dream scene, that isn't a dream.
